We are James & Laurel Samuela -- a native Tahitian and native Californian. Married with two young children, we make our home on the island of Moorea and it is here we have built Te Nunoa Private Garden Bungalow. Together we have a combined total of over 20 years experience in Tahiti tourism. James was once the youngest tour guide in all of Tahiti, leading horseback riding tours at the age of 13. Since that time, we have built a full service travel company called True Tahiti Vacations, through which we would be happy to arrange your air, transfers, activities or visits to any of the other Tahitian islands during your stay.

From our experience in tourism, we have learned that many people are looking for a more authentic Tahitian experience. It is with this in mind that we have designed Te Nunoa, making it the perfect escape for those who long to experience the Tahiti that exists outside of the hotels, without sacrificing luxury and comfort.
